A friend of mine has a RS6 (lucky git) and I want to know just how far away his performance would be from the S3 or 1.8T A4 (remapped)

1.8T A4 170bhp 0-60 8.3secs, top speed 143mph (or 150bhp, 8.7secs,137mph)
2.7TT S4 250bhp 0-60 6.5 secs, 1/4 mile 14.4secs top speed 156mph
4.2TT RS6 450bhp 0-60 4.6secs, top speed 155mph (170+ derestricted)

Neiter the 1.8T or 2.7TT could compete with the V8biturbo......

unless you threw the value of the car at the engine in upgrades, and even then only the 2.7TT would have a chance.

Are you sure about those specs?
I thought the S4 was nearer 5.7secs 0-60? and it's 265bhp isn't it?

I was told that the S3 is based on a mk3 VW Golf, is this true?
In my eyes the mk3 was the car that ran from 92-98?

My Brother bought the Audi A6 2.7T (250BHP Std), and has it chipped to over 320BHP.. he paid £10K for a mint 2001 model, and the remap was £400, but OMG does it go!!..
I never rated any Audi for handling, but his A6 (19" RS6 alloys) is very good for a large car, it's grip is immense. with over 320BHP, it has to be low 5's to 60, we've used the not so accurate G-Meter, it reckons 5.3 to 60, std 1/4 is 13.8..
