Audio crackle - Video inside

Pretty sure the gain is set at 0dB, really unsure, in the standard DG drivers there was 3 different modes, for different impedance headphones, there wasn't a way to completely turn it off though.
I didn't try the SPDIF of my mobo no, I didn't think of it at the time and it's been returned now anyway, popped into the shop and did it.

I notice when I receive messages like on steam the audio makes a little click type noise when it's stopping, not sure if that's part of what Steam does and I just never noticed it before.

Also I've noticed that DPC latency spikes in moments when there's something loading, namely Youtube Videos or if I boot up Steam, not sure if that's relevant at all.
Also just noticed when someone sends me a message on Steam, when the audio clicks and cuts off at the end, the DPC latency shoots to about 650 micro seconds then back down.

Okay, next up on the list:
I downloaded a program called LatencyMon after trying another 1, and I left it running for a while, this program seems to be indicating that ndis.sys (A wireless network driver [I don't have wireless ON my PC]) is causing high latency, and another is cmudaxp.sys which is some audio driver which I've never seen before.

I'm looking to see if there's a way to disable these, searched google, nothing so far.

If the audio crackle can be heard in videos taken by FRAPS, surely the issue is occuring before it's even reaching the sound card??? You could have also hooked up your PC to a TV using HDMI to confirm this.

This means that the crackle is happening at a digital level, meaning EMI or any other interference is out of the questions - it's most likely a software issue. Either the game is causing it, other software/drivers or windows itself.

I've experienced crackling like this in Dirt 2 depending on what audio renderer I use (forgot which one). Also experienced similiar problems in many games as long as I have been gaming. It's pretty normal.

I wasn't sure what it was, I'm just going by what I see and what people tell me. :)

I thought I'd solved my latency issues, since they said for a while it was fine, then the ndis.sys caused a huge hiccup again and now it's throwing a wobbly. It's something to do with a network adapter or a sound card driver I think. Ndis.sys is the network drivers, which it's SAYING is the issue (Apparently a very wide spread issue according to google) or cmusdaxp.sys which are my sound card drivers, or an unknown sound card driver, not really sure on this, something somewhere said it was Xonar actually.

Edit:
Small update, I seem to have fixed the Ndis.sys issue I THINK, unless something else happens, though normally by now it's spiked, so it's improved either way. The next issue to solve is cmudaxp.sys which is causing the next biggest spikes in DPC latency, need to find out where exactly this driver is linked, it's definitely an audio driver of some type, not sure if it's Xonar.

No dead RAM, just switched the slots about and it's working again.

Didn't fix it either. Urgh wow.

New update: I put my old x-fi card back in after all the adjustments I've made and before with the Xonar DG when it would spike to 600 micro seconds, with the x-fi Fatal1ty it's topping off at around 125, with the average being around 70-100. Off to test if it's working now.
