Audiosurf

I got this when it first came out :) brilliant fun.

Anyone else not able to get their itunes bought music to play in the game ? or am I doing something wrong ?

I just fired this up yesterday after not playing it for ages. Figured I'd give my new-found love of DnB a whirl on it. Works unsurprisingly well.

The way that everyone plays Through the Fire and the Flames constantly, and it's always a top ten song, annoys me, because I really can't stand Dragonforce. :p

Anyone else having problems getting songs purchased through Itunes to work with the game ?
 
IIRC, songs bought on ITunes are DRM protected, you have to burn them to cd to remove the protection before they'll run on audiosurf

If I remember when you start the game it comes up saying how to play itunes songs. Unless I was just imagining that or had read this elsewhere I dunno...


PS: Anyone else know quoting a picture in a post is a bannable offence?
 
It gets boring quickly, and as with all these sound-reactive games [i.e. Raycatcher] you need a song with a very obvious and noticeable beat to make it work effectively. A lot of dance/electro is good but rock and metal generally comes out pretty flat.

As above. This was the reason for my ban. I had logged on yesterday to find I was banned, I had thought this was because I didnt full star out a sweary leaving the first letter of the word. But then I found it was because I had "Quoted an image in an image thread" or something.

I thought it was a bit harsh lol
 
I assume that must just be in GD then? Seen people quote images in the other forums fine, surely they would tell us if they'd changed the rules in a sticky at the top or something?

Must be, I didnt notice it mentioned in the FAQ or the Rules thread in the GD board.

Thing is I usually do it, because I hate stretching the screen etc, but the one time I forget to do it, BANG. BAN. lol

Anyway, lesson learned......would have been nice to get a warning instead of an instaban, especially when people have done a lot worse trolling and not been banned =/

Its a game you will play a lot or will hardly play at all I think.

Personally I have a large music library and like to listen to music while relaxing by playing a not too taxing game. This seems to be it lol
