Don't complain!

Learn this and repeat it to any locals you might meet along the way,

"This is the Wattle,
it's the symbol of our land,
you can stuck it in a bottle,
or you can hold it in your hand.

Australia, Australia, Auastralia we love you."

Between Sydney & Bribane there's Nambucca Heads, just north of the town on the coast road there's a steep hill & a view to die for. When you get to Cairns do the reef, not that expensive for a day out inc food & the tree top walk. Don't forget lots of sun cream on back & bum when snorkeling on reef, one of the girls on our trip couldn,t sit down for a few days! ZIP ever been to Winton? not many Auzzies have, let along poms, & do you know what it's famous for?

How do you know when a plane load of poms have landed?
When the captain turns off the engines you can still hear the whine!

It's in Queensland, not far from Longreach & it was the first place Waltzing Matilda was played in public. Played in North Gregory hotel in 1895 lyrics by Banjo Paterson score by Christina Macpherson, written at Dagworth Station, which is near Winton. My Auzzie brother-in-law took us there. Drove from Rockhampton where they live, about 6-7 hours, stopped at Longreach where all the big cattle ranches started, visited the Stockmans Hall of Fame, Quantas museum, school of the air, this was really good, had a chat to the teachers & was amazed that young children on their 1st visit to a town had no idea about money as they never needed it at the remote stations, but as the teachers said - they soon learn. Before you ask Queensland And Northern Territory Air (or arial ?) Service

Why not just fly straight to Melbourne to start with? then you'd just be travelling in one direction (North) for your camper van journey.

I'm gonna have a look at this tonight, thing is we wanted to spend a few days in Sydney scoping it out, and thought about getting that over with to start off with.

Whats your Job?
It seems most jobs are up for grabs over there because the city is booming

I'm in patents, IP Law. I havent got the 3 years experience you need to claim a skilled worker visa yet tho.

Cheers

Rick
