From what I recall (correct me if I'm wrong), the Ferrari radio operator, informed Alonso that Hamilton was 3.5s behind him. The very next lap Hamilton was right behind Alonso

It was red flagged last year due to torrential rain. The modern cars just don't work in those conditions.

It's another flaw in the testing ban pre-season they have no real knowledge how the car will work in the wet. They should get a few wet weather testing sessions as well to atleast give the newer drivers a chance to see what the car is like in the heavy rain.
Given the pre-season testing they have had this year - they have a rather good idea about how the cars work in the wet.
Wasn't it something like 3 days of dry weather?
If the forecast is heavy rain then I won't hold out much hope for an exciting gp.
