Several teams are running them. It's a new option for the information display, it replaces the LED segment display they had last year. Shows significantly more information, but is heavier.

Aaaah, right. Now that could actually be someone blowing a whistle to alert everyone in the pit lane that a car is coming. Welcome to the high tech world of F1. ;)

Some places use an electronic siren and are really annoying.

Sounds like Ferrari have issues and Alonso was just told to look after everything as it's a battle of reliability as well.

Are they basing their race strategy on hoping that the cars of others will fail?
 
Just loving this years f1 already.

Come on Mercedes! Rosbergs looking good, and fuel economy meaning they can actually put in some consistent fast times. Real shame about Hami, but he will be back im sure.
