I think that specific issue was RBR's fault but it was in their attempt to try and work around the not working very well Renault engine. TR are being more conservative but have their own issues with the Renault engine and driveability.

The default maps from Renault should be good enough to at least drive it well but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Seriously Perez is hilarious, the only thing keeping Button off the back is Perez keeps screwing up. Passes under safety car.... has to give two places back, drops a gap on Button to do so, catches up... goes off the track into the gravel, gains again, does something else stupid.

Certainly helping Mclaren look less terrible.
