And with us today we have Maurizio Arrivabene from Ferrari, Eric Boullier from McLaren, Graeme Lowdon of Marussia, Claire Williams from Williams, Toto Wolff from Mercedes, and live via webcam from Melbourne cell block no1138 we have Monisha Kaltenborn formerly of Sauber.

Completely agree.

Sutil also seems to be taking them to court, 4 drivers for 2 race seats. Genius way to get money. Seriously, she's an International Business Law expert, and doesn't know that this is fraud?

And the 2015 Australian GP entry list is out, and shows Ericsson and Nasr in the seats, not van der Garde. Contempt of court it is then.
 
And who doesn't like controversy, come on bailiffs.

Now what time is everything on TV, drivers, team principles. Any season previews or ted on?

I don't think that matters too much. Teams can change drivers up until qualifying I believe, though I don't know if there are certain requirements for it (such as an ill or injured driver, like when de la Rosa replaced Perez at Montreal).

They wouldn't be able to name Giedo van der Garde yet as he doesn't have a current super license.

Sauber signed a contract for Van der Garde to have a race seat in 2015
Sauber agreed a race seat for Sutil in 2015, although we don't know if a contract was signed.
Sauber then signed a contract for Ericson to have a race seat in 2015
Sauber then signed a contract for Nasr to have a race seat for for 2015

Sauber put Nasr and Ericson in the car.
Van der Garde took them to court in Switzerland and won
Van der Garde took them to court in Australia and won
Sauber appealed and lost
Sutil is taking them to court in Switzerland too

Basically they promised race seats to 4 drivers and signed contracts with at least 3 of them and only have 2 cars....
 
Well dauber says judgment only applies in Australia.
Australian judge says it apples everywhere.
So whole season. I just expect Sauber will have to negotiate a nice big pay out.

They can't afford to otherwise they would have done it before today.

  • Their assets will be seized tomorrow if Sauber don't put van der Garde in the seat.
  • If they do put van der Garde in the seat you have to expect that Sauber will struggle to finish the season (hence giving van der Garde's seat to Ericsson in the first place).
  • You have to expect that if the team remains governed by those currently making the calls that there won't be anyone willing to invest in them, and the current backers won't be impressed in the slightest.

Monisha has to quit at the very least. Her position is about as untenable as an untenable position can be.

So is that what will happen if they don't put Van der Garde in the car, their equipment gets seized?

Surely if they do put Van der Garde in they are breaking one of the other guys contracts, and they could then sue?

It sounds like the only way out of this is to terminate one of the drivers contracts.
 
It's a real possibility.
It's a bit confusing, but what I understand is basically all the judges realise Sauber are taking the pee and told them they are. They have till 10:30 am to comply with the court. Which is 2hrs before first practice I believe. Otherwise they'll be back in court and may well get court action to seize. Everything so far has gone against Sauber, so no reason to think judges would do a U turn.
Already been pulled multiple times for breaking court judgments, not trying to implement court judgments, dragging their heals etc.

Ebay seller sent me the wrong code, so I have a Carling 24hr pass applied to account, he's know sent me supposedly the right code for a week long Carling pass. But I don't seem to be able to apply it. Is this right or am I just being dumb? If I have to waste the day pass so be it as it was free due to there mistake.
