Austrian Grand Prix 2016, Spielberg - Race 9/21

A few races ago I didn't want Rosberb to be WDC but to be honest, even at this point already he fully deserves to win. Outclassed Hamilton this season so far and I say that as a Hamilton fan

I like these new kerbs. They actually have consequences. Drivers all complaining because they like having the runoffs too much. The fact the drivers keep hitting them shows how much they took the **** with the track limits.

couldn't agree more.

but they'll be changed, or next year teams will beef up suspension.

Have you been watching a different season?

Maybe outclassed isn't the right word. But he's out performed Lewis. Yes, when all things have been equal in qualifying it's 2-1 in Lewis' favour (as it stands could be 2-2 today) but this 2016 Lewis is hardly the Lewis we got to enjoy last year.

I would've been livid and outraged if Nico won in 2014. This year of Nico wins I don't think I'll have anything to feel out raged about. Still, a long season to go and anything can happen. But since Lewis won in Austin he's seemed to have dropped the ball

Anthony Davidson was just saying that those yellow 'baguette's' or whatever they're called need to be avoided as they can damage the cars, so was it a suspension failure or Kvyat's fault damaging his car by going over them.

The kerbs are a solution to a problem that shouldn't exist. There shouldn't be room for drivers to go all the way off the track in the first place, or if there is they penalise them.

Cant help but agree, you want to push the limits there must be genuine consequences of going too far.

So you have been watching a different season.

Other than Baku, Hamilton (and a few other drivers) have been head an shoulders above Rosberg. He's being carried by the performance of the car.

What's Rosbergs net places gained/lost this seaaon?

Sounded like torro rosso boss was blaming kvyat on that suspension failure , he went onto the kerb and destroyed rear suspension.

That part should not fail so easily. It's a kerb not a wall. But then again if the kerbs are of such a makeup to cause these issues then they're a dangerous thing to have on the circuit.

but the drivers shouldn't be touching them, you could have flaming spikes with a pit of death there, the drivers shouldn't be putting the car there.

then they're a dangerous thing to have on the circuit.

no they aren't, and this is where we end up with 2mile long run offs. and less exciting races.
have either of the failures, even remotely caused injury.
there's a balance to be had, not just all focused on safety.

the years of murray walker favourite line of anything can happen and it usually does has gone.
to many large run offs, and cars being to bullet proof thanks to tight rules which restricts innovation.

Kyvat's really being hung out to dry this season, I'm guessing his p45 is already in the post :o
