This is wierd, never happened before. I have done what you asked me to but still it is going to the same website.

Guys please help me out here. Im already running Norton antivirus scan, just in case.

Do a search on replacing your hosts file with a clean copy.

Some software add entries into this file which cause requests for certain addresses to be sent elsewhere.

Norton AV isn't going to stop a fair percentage of spyware getting it's wicked ways, the best ways to do that are to be aware what you're doing, never download attachements unless you are sure of the source, don't use software cracks/hacks and stay off dodgy websites.

Guys, seems like im gonna be asking novice-like question relating to computers from this point...can i just say i appreciate your help and thanks in advance.

Ok so here is the problem, according to the guide Peternem posted -

Windows xp - System 32 - drivers.....

Well i get into the system 32, found a folder labelled "drivers catche" and i went on in but i cant find any file labelled host....am i doing this right?

EDIT
I think i can find it now but i dont know which is which, it says the one without an extension, Is this the one without ". xxxx" then?

Yup, the file will just litterally be called "hosts", it won't have any extension. When you try and open it it'll not know which application to use, so tell it to use notepad.
