remember doing that stupid "moral machine" quiz they did, where it was stuff like do you run over the bank robber or the pregnant woman, as if the car is realistically going to be able to tell the difference....
the pregnant woman could be a nazi and the "bank robber" could be going in fancy dress to donate a sackful of his honestly earned money to an orphanage.
granted if it's a choice between a pedestrian and a car then choose the car, but that's more on the basis of a better chance of survival in a car on car accident than car vs pedestrian, same for car vs inanimate object (eg a wall)
