Great results for me, it's awesome stuff.

Fox - you should try going at that with various grades of glass paper - I started at 400 and went up to 1,200 and it made a bit difference around the tip.

its really good stuff but due to it being fairly abrasive I follow it up with a fine metal polish afterwards, something like meguiars nxt metal polysh (I hate how they spell it with a y) does the job nicely

The cloth I used is pitted black just shows how much it strips the crap off.

IIRC Autosol is abrasive.
It's not really a polsih either.

In what way is it not a polish? It's an abrasive compound that makes metal surfaces shiny, by very definition it's a polish.

I polished my exhaust up a few weeks ago after its first winter and it came up looking like new.

Autosol rocks.

Apparently it is also a protectant... helps the stainless keep corrosion free for longer!

This is how a second hand exhaust trim i got off ebay came up after 2 mins work with some autosol.

Lies . I used to use Brasso before Autosol and it doesn't compare.

Brasso would probably get a better shine as its a finer polish. I think silvero or whatever its called would be more like autosol as stainless steel chrome etc are much harder than copper and brass.

Any biker worth his salt will have at least one tube of Autosol in his tool box. That and an impact driver.

Word. I use it with 1200 grit for polishing wheels up.

Failed for me

use 1200 grit + autosol on it, then 2000 grit + autotsol, then autosol on it's own.

once done, just do it once every couple of weeks and it will be fine.

Quite wierd seeing this thread, done mine yesterday. Didn't come up to great, need to get some wire wool/sandpaper on it.

I do mine every few weeks and they come up great. Its a shame most of them is covered up by my bumper!
