As someone who really enjoyed the cartoon from when it originally aired back in the days, will give this a punt. Never bothered with M Nights version due to the terrible reviews.

Not many weeks since watched the animation for first time. It was amazing!

Def will watch this

I liked it.. But not as much as avatar.

I found korra quite annoying. Like she created most of the issues she had to fix!

Asami however.... "swoon". She was awesome.

What about you?
Didn't asami and Korra randomly become a couple. Anyway I think zaheer was a very decent antagonist.

Looks good!

Visuals on that trailer look incredible, like a movie.

I just hope they nail the story and the character development of the anime.

Not the best start IMO. I know some people will go in to this having not watched the animated series but did it really need 30 mins of exposition to set up the fire nation attacked? A few other issues too with some of the main characters too. I’ll watch the rest to see how it goes and hope it improves.

Reviews seem fairly good. Can't say I know anything about Avatar. I think I tried the first episode of the anime a long time ago and found it very childish. I might give this a go at some point.

I’m quietly optimistic but I did find the fire nation attack bit a waste; the intro from the series covered it nicely. Typical of a lot of shows where they think more is better.
