Awesome new Sony BRAVIA advert footage.

That's like saying - if my mother never left the tap running for 20 Min's someone else would. We should all do our small part in conserving energy. Anyhow I am going off topic.

But we cant all enjoy your mum wasting water. With this ad we can all enjoy and watch it. I found the one with the balls highly soothing.

Your mum is waisting water for absolutely no reason
Sony is making this ad to sell there product to make money and the more money and products they make the more taxes they pay and the more jobs they create

The fact is oil is just keeping up with the demand as it is, in 10-20 years time demand will surpass production. If we stop wasting energy as we do, it would last a lot longer. Look at US cars compared to EU, if I recall our cars use %30 less fuel as theirs.

Ah, so polluting the world for no reason is not acceptable, but to pollute for money is acceptable?

When the atmosphere is no longer breathable, remember it was for the money, that has probably corroded by now :)

Wasted energy, chemicals, pollution, ETC.

As I said earlier "I am taking this thread of topic". I have very strong opinions on this subject and I seem to be projecting them on this topic, so I shall leave it :)

I dont wana take it off topic, but instead of watching socio political agenda'd documentary's, try looking up some facts on this for yourself before you believe the hype. As i said, there have been many before you and there will be many after you, all claiming the doomsday is a coming.

Irrelevant. I never said Doomsday is coming. I said oil is running out, as it is. We need to conserve energy while we have it.

I care about the environment, but I think art is never a waste! (Good art, at any rate;)) Art makes the difference between living and merely existing - there's plenty of other things we can do to conserve energy before we start cutting back on art. Look at me for example - I'm posting at 4am when electricity is cheap!:p

Really, Shhh.

This has the makings of a great advert. Can't wait to see the final product!

Are they getting knocked down? Because otherwise there's a lot of people staying in clown themed apartments :p

Yes they are, someone must have come up with the crazy idea and thought "hmm, we need a tower block thats going to be demolished"

Its up near Glasgow.

I wonder how long it took to clear away all those balls. Anyone know how many were used?

If you look on the website you can see the making of it in video form. they said it was over 50,000 balls and when they made it fly down the hill it sounded like a stampede :D
They had nets at the bottom of the hills to catch all the balls aswell :)

I think it's a shame the building is being knocked down :( The transformation from a horrible old tower block to the one shown at the end of that video (colours of the rainbow in a gradient going up it) was beautiful - it now looks lovely (well almost) :)

At the end of the video I couldn't help but smile (seriously) when I saw how the paint had coloured the building.. I guess it is something to do with scale but something that big with those colours just looks beautiful.

*watches video again :)*
