Awesome work...

I'm not expecting everyone to. Life would be dull if we all agreed on everything. :)

It's just slightly insulting when the usual crap about 'regret' is bandied about; it is a direct attack on the individual by someone who knows nothing about them.

Not sure why you would be insulted by anything said on here. You post on a general forum asking for opnions and as you know you're going to get a mixed reaction and by nature of the format, people express views in strong terms.

Tatts divide as an issue, big deal.

I look back on some clothes I wore 15 years ago and I'm amazed I thought they were a good look, I'm sure in another 15 years I will be looking back on my current style thinking bad choice (doubtful cos I look ******' fantastic.)

Doesn't mean I regret the tartan trousers with a chain between my legs or the silver space suit and silver knee high DMs I wore in my late teens, I just wouldn't want to wear them now. It just surprises me that people don't feel the same about tattoos.

I'm not insulted, I just see it as an insulting act to make crass assumptions about others. ;)

Pics of you 15 years ago please.

Im not much of a fan of tatoos personally but I have nothing against those with them - I do like a little cute ankle one or something, looks nice on some girls.

Must say tho - the Op ones are stunning, some excellent work :D - real art, not like that "Middle East Art" junk from the other thread kicking around here today!

I should think the ones on the palm of the hands take a while to heal. Some amazing shading in some of them though :)

Coming up with some ideas for my other leg so might have some new innk pictures soon :D

Garver's good but he's not brilliant. I'd still call the vast majority of stuff on that show 'average'; they don't make me go 'omfg' when I see them.

The OP is all by Marc of Swastika-Freakshop.de

The fine detail stuff he is doing is good, but the larger images are pretty poor in my opinion. Both skulls are just not well done and his elephant god (Gnesh isn't it?) needs work too. The skateboard with wings is almost juvenile.

Its amazing how similar they all look.

They're all from one artist who has a particular style of working. It is only natural that they will therefore look similar.

With good artists, you don't pick a bit of flash off the wall or go in the shop with a photo of David Beckham and go 'want that one...', you give them at most an idea and let them run with it or do whatever they think will suit the area being inked.

Juvenile? Because it is done in a sketchy manner?
