Awful gamerscore...

I only have like 760 on my Live account and 2.5k on my offline account. But im much better than a lot of people online with like 6000+. I take no interest in Gamerscore, doesn't give a good indication whether or not the player is good, tells me they are obsessed more thn anything.

I set myself a target of 1k a month. (Currently exceeding that as got 360 last Christmas) Im not bothered about the number but i like to unlock things and love hearing the achievement pop.

I wont not play a game because of achievement points though.

Think mine is at around 3k, been playing on and off since launch and i dont think ive ever actually gone out of my way to earn points. If they happen to crop up during normal play thats all well and good but ive never been bothered to try and get all the acheivements or replayed a game specifically for them.

Or more likely use save games.

No, It's doable if you've had the console a while and are good at games, the 2 games I play mainly, I've nearly achieved all the achievements available. I find they add a new element to the game that I like. Obviously other people see them as a waste of time. But hey it's all about fun right? And whats not fun about getting a score? That's always been around, and it's always been fun to try and rank up.

Anyways, I've got a fair way to go. To get anywhere near what a lot of people i've seen have, But i've had the console just under a month, So i have some catching up to do.

I not bothered about my actual score but I like it when the notification comes up when you do get one. I also played through Crackdown several times to get the achievements and have to admit that if I had stopped after the first time through I would have only thought it was an average game. Playing through it again to level up and scale the tower etc was extremely enjoyable and a good use of the achievement system in my view.

had my 360 since launch and have a big stack of games, only got around 2900 points

I normally play a game until i have achieved what i wanted from it. I don't play online much though which really restricts upping my score, I prefer playing with people i know rather than just randomly jumping in.

It doesn't help that i normally buy a game once everyone from OcUK in my friends list has bought the latest release and moved on! :(

edit: woo my epenis must have viagra'd, its 1k more than i thought!

Mines exactly 2400 atm purely because nfs: pro street seems to give you achievement points often and randomly like it's got tourettes for gods sake.

There's an achievement for crashing! :/

Had my 360 from day one and never really bothered about achievments originally, just played games for a bit then put them down. Recently been revisiting all my old games trying to get some of the achievments, Call of Duty 2, Condemned, Crackdown etc - so in that respect they work as a gaming tool.

The achievements and orbs really make crackdown, without them it wouldn't be anywhere near as addictive.

i spend most of my time playing against mates or online, not too bothered about getting all the points but its nice when it pops up telling you that you have done an achievement
