I've taken the gamble on one
This is what the retail units say about warranty:
So from that assumption all those in the B grade should still have ~2+ years RTB with OcUK?
I'll hold on to my 120hz 24" until I know if I'm happy or not with the DGM.
Here on the forum I can see 1pc per costumer, but I just add 3 of the same monitors to my basket and it did allows me. Can I buy more than 1 or what?
1. Product returned under DSR
2. Repaired/Refurbished product back from manufacturer
3. Ex-demo stock, used for internal testing
4. Stock with missing accessories.
5. PROMOTIONAL ITEMS NOT INCLUDED, Games etc.
6. Damaged packaging
7. Stock is fully working and has 90 day warranty for any defects.
Detail can't be given as to why its B-grade, or what if any accessories could be missing, that would be very time consuming, take up a lot more resources and at which point savings would not be so great.
The savings are massive, the above is why, if you want a brand new product, with everything included along with any promotional items, then do buy new.
Officially there is no warranty.
However, with MSI being UK RMA, it's very likely that you'll be able to RMA directly with MSI unless it's already been registered, likewise with the Gigabyte.
Tempted by the 7970.
I enquired a few months back with msi. If you don't go through ocuk it has to go back to holland.
Pulled the trigger on the MSI 7970 Lightning BE - then found out that the 2560x1600 'Supported' resolution (for my Dell 30") requires an £80 adapter, duh!
Webnote to cancel sent just hope it gets spotted before the item is sent tomorrow!
wow the Dell 30" screens don't have displayport but the 27" screens do??
Ah, it has displayport, even comes with a cable that has been in the box since I got it ... need to see if that supports 2560x1600.
Edit: Found the cable (forgot about DP, got the monitor in Dec 2010) but need a mini DP to DP adapter? Being B grade there may not be one with the card!
Indeed they are...but would hate to imagine if anything goes wrong after 90 days...will have to send that heavy piece of hardware all the way to Holland...Those MSI gaming laptops are too tempting.
