The motherboard came today and I got the 7800X3D deal for £330

Almost same as my build ie 7800X3D but mine with Asus B650E Gaming E board (board for £259 from another website) and XFX 7900XT, yes I got my free Starfield via AMD which I have been playing. Very happy with mine, had minor issues with Win11 but got it fixed, nothing to do with hardware however .

I will be building my sons PC tonight, it is a similar spec to mine. Also using a 7900XT like you for his build, which I got from OC for £700 and I kept the copy of Starfield

Asus and other manufacturers have the SoC voltage issue well fixed on 7800X3D etc with BIOS update back in last April, mine is locked at 1.24v max and normally below 1v in general use , also it's worth using the fan tunning in AMD Adrenalin software for the 7900XT, set mine from default loud in gaming to ultra quiet, even the GPU hotspot core only goes to 86c max with fans on like 30% max at that temp.
