Just a wee heads up for any Sci Fi fans, Babylon 5 starts tonight on Watch channel ( 124 on Virgin ), it's on from 5 - 6pm, then repeated again from 12pm - 1.00am.

It's been a long time since i last saw B5, so i'll be glued to it.

Awesome, J Michael Straczynski has stated that the reason there is no clamour for a reboot/reimagining/spin-off from the studios is that the program is not show anywhere (unlike Star Trek or Stargate).

I’d love to see this get a substantial audience to at least hint to the TV people that there is still love for the show.

Buy the boxed set, you wont be dissapointed.

Also, yes, buy the box set, it's fantastic :)

No pilot through by the looks of it, they appear to be starting with the revamped cast.

Hmmmmm, well the ad said they where starting with series 1 ep1, soon find out i guess, if Michael O'Hare aint Cmdr Sinclair i shall be dischuffed.

He was Sinclair for the whole of season 1. It was the Doctor and the 1st Officer that they swapped out.

Working my way through this again already but good to get it on tv again for all those people who have missed it before. I know some people who were put off due to it being sci-fi but there are so many great stories and well written characters.

I  Babylon 5 so much.
Even though the show is what, 20 years old now (!!!!) I still drift off time to time thinking about the First Ones... Sigma 952(?) Vorlons etc etc and it sends me into a Wikipedia and Youtube frenzy. To this day I crave a vision of the Vorlon homeworld (*googles "vorlon homeworld name"*).. Ah, Vorlon.

"Like Godsamongst ants..." (or was is "like gods in a sandpit") *googles*

The scene where the First Ones go beyond the rim... "Will you with us..?"

Cheers dude, i don't have the box sets so ide completely lost track of whos who & whats what, i used to watch B5 back in the 90s, i can't say ive paid much attention to it since then in all honesty, it was quite the trip down memory lane this evening, and thats putting it mildy. :D

I doubt we're likely to see another series like it again. Nowadays peopole don't tend to watch series every week over a great span of time. So having story arcs spanning 5 series would be difficult. Nowadays the money in successful TV series is being able to resell them to channels that can replay them in any order at any time.

I would love it if sci fi programs were given enough screen time to develop their story arcs, unfortunately they rarely get the chance before been canned. I still thought there was another couple of series in Stargate Atlantis (Tod the wraith for president :D ) but like many other series it wasn't renewed. These days the chances of getting 5 series is slim to non.
