Bumpety bump and good news...
Source.

Got the complete set on DVD but don't necessarily see the need to purchase again short of dvd degrading. The filming was good quality it was only the CGI that could do with a remaster, apparently thats not being done this time either other than upscaling. I'll pass.

I  Babylon 5 so much.
Even though the show is what, 20 years old now (!!!!) I still drift off time to time thinking about the First Ones... Sigma 952(?) Vorlons etc etc and it sends me into a Wikipedia and Youtube frenzy. To this day I crave a vision of the Vorlon homeworld (*googles "vorlon homeworld name"*).. Ah, Vorlon

Your brain couldn't possibly contain such a concept, its beyond mortal comprehension :p

Mind you, both had the late Mira Furlan...

Aww crap. :(

Started watching this again... If you can put aside the cheese its actually quite good, and after the first series the cheese goes away and you settle down to enjoy some cracking sci-fi.... As in its not very sci-fi and more political intrigue with a odd space flight thrown in to keep it grounded :)

THough Season one sets up so great payoff in later Seasons, really enjoyed the B4 Plot and how it directly tied back.

Season 3/4... holy crap. Mind blown.

Babylon Squared.. wow.

It did have the coolest set of people in any sci-fi fim though... The Techno Mages :)

An idea used once and never again. Ok twice. But thats it.

I enjoyed this when I watched it years ago. Kind dated now with the 4:3 and CGI. Though it was the CGI and the Amiga angle that originally got me interested.

I have tried two times over the past decade to get into this but the costumes and cheese fest is unbearable. Will try again in the future if it comes to prime or Netflix.

Just try and get through season one, it gets much much better in season 2 onwards - basically as soon as Sherridan becomes the captain (and main focus of the series)

loved Claudia Christian. met her at a film con, just as dreamy in real life.

Someone said the same at a B5 con even got to dance with her, jealous AF.

Whenever I play Skyrim whenever I hear the Female Commander voice I don't think thats housecarl/officer/Legate Rikke I think "thats Claudia Christian!" I'd recognise that voice anywhere.

I finished my 3rd Babylon 5 binge a few weeks back and it is comfortably my favourite sci-fi series. Favourite series fullstop tbh. Londo and G'Kar cannot be beat as characters. It's the most innocently ambitious, epic, sometimes cheesy, endeering story. I will be getting hold of the new remastered version before the next binge in about a decade.

Indeed, I think it's the only show I've ever watched where there isn't a character I want killed of asap

Londo and G'Kar are without doubt the best sci fi pairing and I'll throw in any genre as well, their story is fantastic and top notch acting.

The fights in space were refreshing as well, no g force stuff etc no force fields just quiet lasers slicing through ships in a few hits, felt realistic.
Ship designs as well, were, and still are the best out there.

I'm afraid do have one character on an kill asap list, Byron from season 5. Not a main character of course, but was prominent enough to appear in multiple episodes in one of the supposed main storylines in that season. Though I think we all know the 5th season was a bit of a hodge podge of bits of story after they we unsure they were going to get another season. Still, as smarmy unlikable gits go, Byron was a particularly smarmy unlikeable git.

Will have to have a look, can't remember that character now, although it's been a couple of years
