Babylon 5 !!!

The episode "Sleeping in Light" was filmed during season 4 and was to be the finale of season 4 if the show wasn't picked up for season 5. Thats probably the reason why it stands out head and shoulders above the other season 5 episodes. I actually think some of season 5 is not bad especially the last few episodes heading towards Sleeping in Light. Episodes such as The Fall of Centari Prime. Im also a really big fan of the first season mainly down to the scale of what the season sets up as far as the overall story line goes.

Top of my head here 'Day of the Dead'?

Love this series, I'm still waiting for a sci-fi show to come close. I think only Battlestar Galactica competes really.

Farscape is the closest for overall depth in plot development after the first series imo. The first is just muppets in space until the last couple of eps.

Never did get into Farscape, probably due to the 1st series feeling a bit tacky. Babylon 5 is a brilliant series, watched it religiously on TV 1st time round, had all the videos and now have the set of DVDs. The little plot hints your see in the early series that just grow are very well done.

Only thing recently close to this is BSG.

Was the CGI for this rendered in Lightwave? Seem to recall something about that back in the Amiga days.

Lightwave initially on Amiga's (A2000's with video toasters i think) and later seasons on PC. Foundation Imaging went on to do CGI in a number of other shows including Star Trek Voyager. Netter Digital continued with B5 after Foundation Imaging stopped B5.

I did these years ago on Lightwave, can't take any credit for the models as they were downloaded.

I've a few more, but won't bore anyone with them as these are the best of them. I was by no means remotely an expert in Lightwave.
