As I don't commute and do maybe 14 miles a week, the 540i was starting to get a bit long in the tooth.
It is a 1997 car, and all though it runs great, there is little point in me having it to run into town. This is why I got the Smart car. The Smart is great to buzz about in, but if I need to move stuff or people then it won't do.
Granted the 540i is probably an all round more capable car, I wanted something a little newer and different.
I don't change cars all that often. It cost me £2500 6 years ago, and is still running today. Only a water pump, cat and oil gaskets needed doing.
The 18" wheels stop the steering being stupidy light vs 16" weels. It feels more solid and looks better.

You picked a 320ci for moving stuff and people? Surely your 540i would have been better at thisThe Smart is great to buzz about in, but if I need to move stuff or people then it won't do.
What the actual fudgecake
This is borderline trolling in my eyes.
Might as well put up a thread about why my Porsche is no longer suitable no the kids have moved out and i only drive on weekends. So i bought a 1.8 diesel zafira instead.
The diesel is only available in 2.0 DTi or 1.9 CDTi.
Everyone know's this.
