Im trying to convince someone that starvation/eating the minimum is not the best route to a healthier self.

Can you please help me convince them that the best method to a healthier body is:
eat healthier food
exercise more

no more and no less. by eating less you mess up your metabolism, meaning when you start eating more you'll gain a lot of weight very quickly.

back me up please :)

really cant say sorry, trying to keep this as anonymous as possible

No worries. But yeah you are right, starving yourself is bad, it will wreak havoc with your immune system, you'll feel tired, you won't be getting the essential vitamins and nutrition from food, if you are a woman, it'll affect your periods, any muscle mass you have will be sucked away for energy, bad skin, weak hair, lack of concentration, no energy to do anything, you'll put stress on a lot of internal organs, etc.

T'is bad. Tell the person that it'll create problems that weren't there before.

I get a lot of this at work. I find the best way is to explain that if they don't eat enough their body will go into starvation mode and hang on to every bit of body fat it can.
