the temptation to pause these terrible Beta WUs and grab some 364 pointers is very great right about now :eek: :p
 
Due to dump 3x600 pointers today and a few other little ones too. :D

On the 364 pointers, switched all my boxes to -advmethods and have only had one of them. :( so perhaps they are in short supply.

ahhh bum, I don't have enough finishing today to get past KE1HA even if he doesn't move (which he probably will) so guess I'll be out of the top ten for a couple of days :(

unless of course my dad's machine comes up with a little surprise ;)

I wouldn't so no to it myself, though seeing what the Conroe's can do with a 364 pointer you can't deny the crunchy-value-for-money of them :o


Nice list of kit there KE1HA, I'm relying on reaching Shady before Bigstan catches me but I think sooner or later I may have to be content with a cell outside the top 10 :eek: :D

I haven't made the purchase yet, so if the Conroe's are the way to go, I'd go that way as log as I can plug a pair of 1950's on the MB. Suggestions anyone ???

What Im after is performance per package ( CPU & GPU combination ) Price is a concern, but not the limiting factor.

Out of interest, why the 1950s? As far as I can tell they are 1900s with slightly faster clocks. I know I'd save some money, buy some zalman coolers and oc them.

And definitely, definitely get the Core 2 Duo. Bits as above.
 
Just checked all three EXON rigs ... there all processing 2124's or 2131's should be a good dump in a day or so. :D I'm just gonna have to Borg a few more machines I think.

I've been going over and over this business of Conroe's and AMD2's etc etc .. I'm definately going to build a serious gamming rig, but I just can't make up my mind on the folding rigs .. or should I wait until the PS3's hit in Novemeber and order 10 or so of those things !! descisions descisions descisions ... well I'm gonna have to do something, it's driving me nuts using all these older EXON rigs.. :D

Maybe I'll open a new thread to get some input.
