Yep, 24-105 is definitely long enough from the pit, in terms of aperture I was hanging around f/3.5-4.0 @ ISO1600, 1/125th.

Haha I will dont worry later on when I get home. Wouldnt worry about lighting more positioning.

It was Alice by Temperley.

Was quite fun, I've never really done people type stuff barring from sports, so this was quite good experience for me. It was basically organised by CPS, and I think I was the youngest guy there, everyone seemed to be in their 40s (I am in 20s) and the stereotype of a socially awkward tog .

Some guys came armed with all their equipment which was not needed. I just took my 1Dx and 70-200mm, and stuck mostly to 200mm.

If I remember Z you are going to take your 24-105. I think you will be fine but make sure you get to the first step, or sit down at the bottom to get good shots at that focal length. The lighting is pretty good but narrow in these tents, which for me lets my shots down. Everyone rushes to get in. I was dead centre on the first step, which was the best for getting head on shots. Nearly all my shots had the model looking directly at me because I was next to the video camera. Recommended colour temp was 3000k. I generally stuck to f2.8, ISO 400 and shutter speed of 1/1250 but I think I was a tad under exposed, and may try 1/1000 tomorrow.

I am actually going to go extreme tomorrow and take the 400 and go on the top row to narrow the FOV to try and cut out the dark sides.

Edit: Also to add, there was a lot of praying and spraying by some of the guys Don't know why they needed to! I only took 100ish shots. One guy behind me must have been machine gunning it!
