I need to buy a additional hardrive for backing up photo's. My machine spec is below in my signature with my main hardrive and motherboard spec etc.

My question is what to go for:

External Drive?
Internal Drive?
Internal Drive in external enclosure?
Smaller driver than I have at the moment then install o/s on that and use my current main drive as back up instead?

having an internal drive as a backup drive is only good against drive failure but will not cover you if your pc gets stolen

best is to have an external drive and once you have backed it up to move it to a cupboard in a different room.

Yes thats along what I'm thinking but need help with all the different choices out there? Do i get a Standard External drive or a internal in a external enclosure? whats the reasons for these being made and the benefits?

OK that looks a good choice but what are the internal drives external enclosures about? what are the reasons for using those?

no reason. only that it will let you upgrade the internal drive at a later date

but it will cost more .. as that deal above is such a good price
