I was just wondering what you guys think about backup solutions. Is it better to have a RAID setup where one drive is cloned to the other or is it better to have some software (such as PC Clone) to make regular copies of your drive?

To backup your OS, use the likes of Actonis True Image 2010 Home (or if you use Win 7, you could use the Win 7 "Backup and Restore" facility, from which you can also make a bootable CD) and put the (backup) image on another HDD (no need to any kind of RAID, any decent 1TB HDD will be fine), to backup files/folders you could use the likes of SyncToy or SyncBack Freeware and put those on the same 1TB HDD...
