Bad Company 2 Tips :)

I'm decent with this game I do get really bad frames though (10-12 on lowest settings), so I can't play the game right now but one of my good games was when I camped an objective and waited for the enemies just come in and kill them off, I was assault and was sitting next to a medic which helped a hell of a lot.

Don't play softcore - it's for noobs who can only shoot at virtual orange triangles. I don't think they have virtual orange triangles in real life

PP with 4x scope. Take out noob snipers with it. **** them right off!

10-20 kills is useless though, it contributes absolutely nothing, especially at 250+ point range.

Especially if you're an attacker.
Again, depends on the game type and how full the server is.
Bare in mind that im used to playing on my clans server, which apart from weekends, usually gets quite a low amount of people on. So a 10-20 kill average for a sniper is very good.
If i play as assault (as i generally change what class i am depending on whats going on in the map), then yes, i would get more than 20 kills.
But remember that recon is about more than just personal kills, there's a lot of abilities that recons have that benefit the team as a whole, air strikes, spotting, sensor grenades, etc;

But my point is that most 'recon' players cant play 'recon' properly or hit a barndoor.
And that if played properly, they are an asset to the team.

But what does it achieve?

10-20 kills is meaningless in terms of objectives.

Yeah none of which you use 250 points of distance away.

You should be arming, c ing tanks using sensors on the front line.

sniping from miles back achives absolutely nothing.

camping 250 back whoring you 10-20 kills with few deaths isn't an asset though.

Ive found playing as recon with a G3 to be pretty decent, good for long range and close up. I normally equip c4 in my kit as well, once an m-com is armed, booby trap it with c4 and throw a sensor ball down, anyone that tries to disarm, use the c4 on em. Also like to place charges on routes taken by tanks/apc's, or simply run up to them and plant c4, bit risky but very rewarding when you get it right.

I got banned from a server for GL spamming (Smoke) lol thought it's a legitimate tactic

I had people complaining I was using too many smoke grenades once

Me -Oh so i'm too tactical?
Server - Smoke is for noobs
Me - Ok, cya

Left to find a decent server where playing tactical isn't penalised :D

Wow, bile.

Whereas non-HC is just for players who need a glowing marker on the screen to let them know where the enemy is hiding when they couldnt kill them the first time?

See, I can do it too!

You don't like spotting in normal? Then don't press Q, problem solved.

HC is for people who can't aim.

It takes 4-6 bullets from an assault rifle to take someone down in normal, I don't know where people always get this 'half a magazine' idea from.

You don't even have to bother aiming in HC, just spray in their direction to get a kill, where's the skill in that?

I take out snipers with the iron sights, no need for the horrible x4

For a novice player, stick to Conquest on normal.

For the last time. It depends on game type.

Look, its becoming more and more obvious that you just plain dislike the recon class. Whether your used to playing with numptys who waste ammo and kills with it or whether your just cant understand the point in it, its all by the by.

Fact of the matter is that played correctly, a recon is a valuable asset to a team. End of.

camping 250 back whoring you 10-20 kills with few deaths isn't an asset though.
Its not really camping when i move about and get more kills on average than anyone else on the server is it ;)

Im not discussing this with you further as we're going round in circles. You say you dont think it helps, i disagree, lets leave it at that. :)

Well he has over 7200 kills with the M24
Your point being?
So he plays it a lot, but still moans. Hmm.:o
Sounds to me like he just get moans at by his team mates then if he's got that many kills and still doesnt like recon. lol.

err no i moan at people who camp back and basically do nothing useful except whore their kdr.

Recons should be on the front, arming mcoms, using sensors and destroying tanks and buildings

The sniper rifles are 1 hit kill no matter where you hit if you get within 20 feet of the person.

He moans at useless recons, what's the problem with that?

Front-line recons are the ONLY useful recons.

Nothing wrong with a back-line Recon if they are played properly, but too many of the people that play them are not good enough at aiming/support to provide a boost to the team and too many of them kills the team... high KDR just comes with the style of playing a back-line Recon.
