UPDATE: Romain has some minor burns on his hands and ankles but otherwise he is ok. He is with the doctors just now.

Easily. That’s a lot of work, even by Bahrain standards.

Makes you wonder whether it should restart with those barriers.

That is by far the most horrific crash I've seen in F1 for a long long time, had this happened a few years ago, we'd have been seeing completely different scenes. Thank **** for F1's continuous push for safety.
I figure the AT car was in a blind spot, but still that was an incredibly dangerous move especially with a bunched pack on the first lap.

Yeah, maybe it’s time to hang up the gloves rather than wait until the end of the season. I’d be surprised if he was up for jumping in an F1 car again anytime soon.

It's a third of the way up a straight, on the 'inside' of the previous corner, I don't think any track F1 races at would have tyres in such a position
