Balding / shaving head

My hair is starting to thin out at the top so im now shaving it short aka number one all round. But once i go bald bald then ill be shaving it bare...mt gf loves my number one cut now...at first i scared her but she says i look much better with a shaved head:p.

anyone shave their nuts? lol I get my head nipped if I don't.....

anyway yes I am receeding at both sides however thankfully my crown seems as covered as ever..... I would hate to go completely bald!

Your body shape depends whether you can get away with going totally bald or not, big fatties with bald heads just look terrible with it, but they usually try to hide their fat chins with stupid goatee's at the same time.

I used to shave my hair off, but i had scalp problems, i was 20 stone at the time, so looked ridiculous with or without hair.

I don't think we've ever had a Prime Minister who was bald, except when the Leader of the Opposition was also bald.

So maybe not good for electoral prospects. Otherwise I think I would get over it quite quickly if and when it happens.

Yes because my now ex didnt like putting her face in a forest of pubes, oddly I have to agree with her on that one. I don't like it either on a girl, tidy but not shaven bare :p

Same as most of the other post here really, been shaving my head with a Mach3 for years and I'm only 25.

The women seem too love it, and I'm forever having girls hands feeling my head :p

I get bored of shaving everyday or couple so I just do it once a week now as I dont have fast growing hair, and being blonde ( well whats left ) I have no real shadow either so I can get away with it.

I only clipper my face though, so I have rugged look about me.

And I've noticed far more men with no hair problems now shaving or at the very least having a clipperd head than ever before.

I don't think hair on a man is a issue anymore, with MPB and head shaving ( razor or clippers ) being wide spread these days there no stigma as there was 5-10 years ago that came attached too a bald head.

Still like the look on people's face when they find out I'm as scary as a tween ie and don't have racial issues ;)

Sounds good. You've made me feel better about inevitably shaving it all off sometime.

LOL at the racial issues comment one and being as scary as a tween. Think my Mum doesn't want me to shave my head in case I'm perceived as being a racist or a thug.

LOL, same here!

I’ve been told my voice doesn’t match my look. Apparently I look like Vin Diesal, but speak like Prince William. It does throw people for a few seconds. :)

I'm 20 and far from balding, but I keep my hair shaved very short these days (down to 3mm every two or three weeks) since I bought myself a £30 clipper set at Easter.

Plus points:

1) Suits me much more than my old 'general short' hairstyle.
2) You get much less flak when out on a night out! :p
3) They've already paid for themselves and more (as I used to have a £10 haircut every 5/6 weeks).
4) It's smart.

See for yourself. I'm on the right, obviously.

I'm 22 and annoyingly my hair is a little thinner on top than elsewhere, it's most noticable when I'm sat in the chair in the hairdressers and it's wet, but other than that, it's not too bad yet.

I don't have my hair long, just an inch or so, but I'd rather not lose it yet!

However, if it got bad I'd definately get my hair cut a lot shorter.

None of my parents/grandparents have hair loss problems so I'm a little annoyed tbh!

@Spuderoony - Is Mark still unhappy about Robbie Williams refusing to rejoin Take That?

I've got curly, wavy, balding grey hair. I prefer the total hair removal option over the torment and ridicule that having hair brings me. I normally shave it with clippers then wet shave it. It's cheaper and easier to manage but can look weird if you've got a tanned face and white head.

I've finally accepted that at 23 i'm going bald, and to be honest I don't really care as I shave my head already. Although going bald does have it's perks...working for an internet hair and beauty company, i've been given free samples of Alpecin shampoo to prevent the inevitable :D

Although it does look like car polish, i'm told it really does make a difference...
