Baldurs Gate - Steam & New Version Thread

Ah, so proper Enhanced Editions eh? ..Take my money now! :D

Could also do with updated versions of Planescape: Torment, Fallout 1 & 2, etc......

Guess its too early to tell. I mean if its going to the app store in the summer it will have to be compatible with the new Ipad which has a much higher resolution. In that case there may still be hope for us..
 
I've been interested in a HD version of baldurs gate because I've never played it, but if they make it iPad only then it looks like I still wont be able to play it.

I have no problem with "on top of" - I DO take issue with the teasing for the last six weeks, only to have a countdown timer expire to show "Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition!" and then, a week later, the only info we get is "Teehee, coming to iPad!" without any mention or info of PC whatsoever. PC + iPad info = great! iPad info but no PC = aggravating. The very fact that they've decided to not show any PC info whatsoever, instead concentrating on the headlines for iPad, shows what direction they're headed and simply says to me that the PC isn't the primary platform, or even a focus.

A quick google suggests that about 25 million ipads have been sold so far. Even if only half of them are still active, it makes sense to release it on that platform if they can. If it makes them super rich and able to do a proper BG3, all the better.
