I sent one of my 1GB Ballistix tracer sticks back to Crucial 2 weeks ago, the replacement came yesterday, and so far so good.

I just hope the other 1GB stick stays ok!

Although, the BIOS runs them @ 7-3-3-3 2T instead of 8-3-3-3 2T that it used to? Oh well...!!

PS Im not overclocking its all running standard.
 
Hey guys,

Just been reading this thread and i see im not alone. I purchased some Crucial Ballistix 2GB set from overclockers back in november, and have now got problems. 4 days ago my pc started rebooting constantly, and i cant seem to run any games cuase of it. I did a memtest and found errors on one of the sticks. I emailed Crucial 3 days ago and still dont have a reply from them. Can anyone advise me on what to do now? im new to all this memory problem stuff and im really not sure what i have to now. Do i contact overclockers? and if i do will i get a replacement set from them or not? If this message is in the forum, then the PC gave me time to type it before rebooting lol. Any advice would be great

Ramus, I RMA'd mine ok to Crucial. If you don't hear back by Monday, e-mail again to start the RMA process or ring them on Freephone: 0800 013 0330 as per the support directions on website. :)
 
Hey stvmor,

Thanks for the reply. If and when i get through to them, will they replace with the same mem? This thread has a few saying that they wont give me the same 2gb kit as they have been discontinued. And if they offered me 4 sticks of 512, would they run fine on my board? Or would i be entitled to a refund?

Ramus, the line was not discontinued when I RMA'd mine so I had no options but I think they will still replace with like until existing stocks run out (that could be some time). Personaly, I would not exept anything but an equivalent or higher spec' 2 Gig replacement or my money back! NO WAY would I exept 4x512 stick in any shape or form :eek:

Having said that, I can get 250 stable but @ 2T with 2Gig of Crucial standard stuff so it's possible that a deal could be done? Say 4 Gig of Crucial standard for my trouble ;)
