Bambu Lab P1S Released

I am still thinking of pulling the trigger on a P1S but thoughts of Q1 possibilities puts me off. I don't NEED a 3D printer, it is "just" going to be for a bit of fun.....

Just fun until it gets you out of a hole with something practical that you need, especially if you jumped into Tinkercad, or some such, and designed it yourself.

As far as I'm aware the next thing is a larger format printer and most likely in the X range. So I'd not be surprised to see a fairly big price jump over the P1S and even the Combo.

I caved during the Black Friday sales, got the P1S + AMS Combo, arrived on Friday last week. Just printed generic stuff from Makerworld and similar so far, but very impressed. Knew I'd be happy with the printer based on feedback and examples from friends, but just being able to print things with no concern for issues is such a nice departure from having an Ender 3 and an FLSun QQS. It just works!

Just ordered the AMS as it's still cheap. Not massively interested in multicolour prints, but being able to print PLA supports for PETG is a definite bonus as is not having to swap spools so often.

Just wish there was a way of programming NFC tags to be read by the AMS. Looks like there's some progress in that space, but still a way to go yet.

I do wish Bambu Lab would open that up for other manufacturers filaments.

New printer looks like a large format, dual head quick switch extruder by the leaks all over Reddit - so you'll need to decide if this is a killer feature or not. But if you're looking at a P1S, I'd just go for it - it's not going to be a cheap new printer - I'm sure it'll make it's way to the P2S, but that'll be 12 months plus I'd imagine!
