** Bank holiday Special Edifier Spinnaker 2.0 Speaker System - Black £89.99**

Have managed to cure the popping issue mostly.

I use to have my speakers at full volume and then control the volume through windows via my keyboard.

To stop the popping I turned windows sound up to full, and chrome sounds up to full and use the control ball thing they supply with the speakers to control the sound level, now the speakers have some sort of noise always going through them which helps prevent most if not all the popping noises.

Still occasionally get weird sound issues (going tinny, then muffled) during low noise level scenes but overall it has improved. The sound from these is awesome, still debating whether to return them or not though.

Is this "popping" problem when using the optical connection?

Ive had speakers in the past that when used with the pc connected by an optical cable they would pop when sound came in, on one occasion this was solved by replacing the optical cable but on another it was just how they reacted to the been connected to the pc by an optical cable.

Does it on both optical and normal 3.5mm jack.

its more or less resolved now though, barely hear it anymore.

These dont handle low volume very well though, sound goes muffled, then tinny on occasion.

Fine if you turn them up a little.

Mine have arrived and seem to be working great. I only listen to them loud anyway, if i need quiet then i use headphones.

The only issues i have is that when plugging in my sub it just seems to hum. I have a cambridge audio S90-B which i expected to work fine, but apparently not? :-/ With my 1600Ts i had it setup on a 3.5mm audio splitter and controlled volume from windows. With these i would like to use the provided controller so preferably want to plug the sub directly into the speakers for all in one control.

Anybody got any ideas?

First impressions are very positive.

Only tested so far using bluetooth and sound quality seems very good even at very low volumes. Clear and crisp with decent bass for their size.

Missus is happy so no viking helmet for me ;)

On a more serious note I received goods in 2 boxes, but neither had any sweets in

Disgraceful next time you order let 5ub know in the customer service section and he will make sure you get haribo! Or at least he'll do his best he's nice like that.

Damned DPD, amended delivery instructions this morning to leave parcel with neighbor, received confirmation that the change was successful. Forward six hours whilst at work received a could not deliver to my address and they didn't try the neighbor. Will go collect it tonight.

The inclusion of Haribo (or not) with an order has to remain random.

That's the whole point of the Haribo system......

"Ooooh DPD have arrived with my OCUK order. Never mind the hardware goodies, will I get Haribo, or not ?".

If you want to guaranteed Haribo, they are available at several leading outlets. However, the best tasting Haribo are those that arrive with computer bits. And if you don't get any with an order, just place another order. You'll "win", eventually.

Or in our household its
"Ooooh DPD have arrived with my OCUK order, oh look - they sent Haribo -anyone like Haribo? ... thought not - where's the bin"

I have really started to notice the background sound popping in and out on these speakers now. Playing music they are excellent but when playing both skyrim or Dark souls 2 the low level sounds such as wind or rain just keep popping in and out. Going to have to return i think :( sadly return postage is going to cost a bucket :-/
