Bank Holiday Weekend Footy Spoilers

We were poor but got the win we needed.

Also WTF was up with Dan Smith, it looks like he has broken Diaby's ankle and it was one of the worst tackles I've seen. As soon as I saw the replay I feared the worse and from what I'm hearing it looks like he is out for 4 months. Was there any point going in like that in added on time when you are losing 3-0? Diaby might of had a part to play in Paris as well but I dont think he will play there. How can tackles like that only get yellow cards

There is no point.
Sunderland do it all the time , its some kind of perverted trophy for them, I wish I had of posted this earlier but I knew someone would go down hurt today.
Its the last little shred of decency they can try to cling onto , bit pathetic if you ask me.
Its the last chance for one of there no mark players to try and write their name into premier league history , it happened two years back when Thornton (who??) chipped a bone in Shearers ankle and in turn was a wearside legend.

Thats the kind of lows this lot sink to and any team that goes there should prepare themselves for this.
Thankfully , we wont have to lower ourselves to this level , I doubt we will see the mackems for a while.

We'll meet again , dont know where , dont know when
But I know we'll meet again , some sunny dayyyyyyyyyyyah.

That Dan Smith tackle was a shocker the way that lads ankle looked all limp just after on the replay looked like a break to me :(

3-0 down in the 92nd minute when you're already relegated about a month ago and he does that  like Henry said there was some nasty tackles flying in in the last 20 minutes of so I can think of 2-3 times where I did a sharp intake of breath (couple of times Fabregas got floored looked potentially injuring tackles).

If England are as poor without Rooney as Man U were tonight we're in trouble.
2nd place goes to last game  :)

Liverpool away to 'job done' Portsmouth and Mancs at home to ................................oh ****,Charlton :(

Yup been confirmed he has broken and dislocated his ankle. No CL final for him then which is a damn shame.

Last 20 mins all they were doing was hacking players down, when I saw Fabregas go down a few times akwardly I swear my heart must have skipped a beat because I was hoping he was ok.

Jazz, a real shame about diaby, really gutted for the guy, looks like a great prospect and could have been useful in Paris.

Well i cant believe 2nd place is going to the wire; great result today for pool but we prob will still finish 3rd. Man Utd and pool have been neck and neck this season and i think Chelsea should watch out next season cos pool are on the way up!! A great season for the reds!!

Anyone know when highlights of todays games are on?

Home!

Poor game, **** stadium for the away fans and a crap view. Sunderland fans ****** me off. Some of their crap chants like 'England' Err which team had England internationals playing? They don't strike me as a bright bunch.

haha glad its not just the other north east teams who hate sunderland then :)

wasnt expecting a draw today either :) sounded like a half decent game , lots of chances.

You never know, Curbishley's last game as boss and people have said (not me) Rooney has been carrying Utd a bit this year.

Without doubt Rooney has carried us on his back this season. Take Rooney out of our team and who else will step up and force us into the game. No one, no one at all. :(

But, I think we've got second place with 1 game left. Ferguson (and some of the fans) will be pretty peeved if we fail to get a win at Charlton this weekend and Charlton doesn't have anything at stake either.

Only 8 changes for the Blackburn game:

Cuducini
del Horno
Carvalho
Gallas
Geremi
Maniche
Diarra
Geremi
Lamps
SWP
Eidur
Crespo

Not sure why Lamps is starting, Blackburn aren't exactly a physically weak side.

No wonder you won the league if you are fielding 12 players every week, cheating *****! :)

And please don't tell me Mourninho is going with Geremi at RB again?
