Ok probably not a bargain all things considered... but I still think it was cheap for what it is, atleast not over priced. How low could you expect to get one for? Anything under £1500 and you be breaking it for more?
I don't think its a bargain, I do think it's a fairly good buy though. I would get the belts done and run it for a bit - you may even grow to like it![]()
How much for the belts done at an Indy?

Belts on a 182 are about 600ish IIRC.
Because Im intending to sell it as is apart from the bodywork and wheels, I know it's expensive from a dealer(500-600) but haven't priced it up at an Indy.

I sounds like a financial disaster waiting to happen. New owner drives home and the cambelt breaks, SOGA makes VTR responsible for repairs/making good/refund.

Belts at an Indy will be similar to at Renault. The parts themselves are expensive and its a days worth of labour regardless.
I got both belts and the dephaser done at mates rates labour and cost price for the parts and it was just under £600.
So let me get this right, you are looking to sell this for £400 more than you paid with partial service history, you've owned for days, has done over 100k, is frenchh and potentially needs £600 worth of work doing on it. All this while;
*Offering the legal protection a buyer has, such as replacing a gearbox 5 months after they bought it if it breaks
*Paying tax and NI.
*Having trader insurance
You would have to dodge the tax, have no insurance and flog everything as 'sold as seen' to even consider not making a loss on this idea.
I bought Laura's 2005 182 for £2100, with belts done and FSH. I don't think there is going to be much, if any margin. If you do the work yourself, that's a different matter, but correct me if I'm wrong, I think your just a buy cheap shift it on (and add no value)
Thanks for the info, do you remember how much the parts were?
