Bargain Nova

That's an impressive spec but he can't, even in his wildest dreams, expect to get that kind of money for it!

dear oh dear, who in there right mind would spend that kind of money on that car? the alternative possibilities are endless.....

You could take that car rallying immediately though, its a turn key race car and as such you pay a premium. I bet its insanely fast as well, got to be above 500bhp per ton even with all the heavier additions!

Depends what you want to do with it ;)
I obviously went for a Red R34 :D so I'm not entirely impartial, but theres no way I would take my Skyline on a race track without serious modifications, good to the tune of 5k absolute minimum! To compete with that Nova you would be talking serious money.

Just about to post that skyline, thats more like it for around £26k, that nova might be 400bhp but its still a nova at the end of the day and there is no chance that your gunner get the asking price for it.

That Skyline is extremely keenly priced, and is for sale by the same company, so I would guess they know the market well. People pay silly money for rally prepped 6R4s, so I can see that going quite quickly to be honest :)

No it wouldn't.

The value of anything is only what people are willing to pay for it. To me, regardless of work done to it, effort put in, and spec, its a nova.

Hence IMO it would still be vastly overpriced at £2.5K.

Just silly money, worth about £5-7k, it probably cost £25k to build........... actually, maybe not, £15k? the engines probably a good £6k but some of it is unnecessary, then front end looks aweful too, what were they thinking!

So what would you value the Rayland Escort at then, market price for an Escort of that age is probably £500, ring them up and offer them that and see what they say :p

Edit: Now that I've studied it for a while, it probably isnt worth what they have it at, the cage doesnt look very substantial and its got too much ICE.

Market price for a cossie is £500 these days? I'll go out and buy a bucket load.

I value the Escort Cosworth an absolute ****-load more than the nova, even if its only due to the heritage of the Escort, plus I liked the feel of the sierra chassis, can't say the same about the Nova's I've driven.

As I said, value is subective, and as such I CANNOT be wrong, as its a PERSONAL OPINION.

For someone who is backing the thing up so much I'd have thought you'd realise that the front end is Function BEFORE Form. It is "styled" like that for a reason. Even I can see that.
