OK, so what is the oven method?

I've been in touch with the seller and he has agreed a return and refund.

I still need to look at the power connectors as apparently a red LED at the top means that part of the card isn't being powered sufficiently. This is the part of the card that takes the 6 pin power connector.

I'll give things a try today and see what happens.

I gave it one last go, tried different PSU connectors but it still won't boot. It will be returned for a refund shortly.

Don't anyone say there aren't still some good people out there. Returned the card and today had the refund via Paypal. :cool:

Just goes to show.

Now what do I do? :confused:

Finally got around to putting the 8800's back into my PC and now the motherboard won't boot, gets stuck identifying CPU and memory. I've reset the BIOS as well as leaving the battery out all night, changed the video cards all to no avail.

Ah well, luckily I decided to upgrade anyway and postpone graphics card upgrade until EVGA Hydro Copper 480's come out.

I'll have to see now if I can find a system that will read my striped disks! One good reason for having a dedicated games PC - noting has been lost other than game saves.

Core i7 920, GA-X58A-UD3R and some OCZ memory on their way ;)

PC is back up and running with the specs below. Still need a water cooled graphics update at some point :D. At least after this I have a current generation system ready to tackle anything the games market can throw at it ;)
