I strongly disagree. This man would have taken much pleasure in ending your life, how you defend him is beyond me.

I don't see that I'm defending him, I just don't think that it was right that he was attacked in prison.

I also hate the current implementation of "yuman rites" law in this country, however I'm pretty certain that no matter what you've done, or conspired to do, you should not be subjected to attacks like this. I really hope the government wakes up and realises that they can't house Islamic extremist criminals with ordinary criminals, they must be segregated in a separate prison.

I can see what you're saying. If we inflict torture on them for our pleasure, how are we any better etc? But it's still very difficult to allow them to have special treatment. He wanted to kill hundreds of people, end their lives. Why should his life now, be protected? He gave up that protection when he decided what he wanted to do to us.

its the complete scum of scum that get beaten up in prisons. Don't have a massive problem with it.
I'm no prisons expert but I imagine lots of people get beaten up for various reasons, it doesn't necessarily mean they are especially deserving of it.

I agree with this stance. The punishment is being in prison. We are a civilised people and two wrongs don't make a right.

Yeah but the problem is that people don't think imprisonment is a good enough punishment for a terrorist who was planning to inflict multiple instances of death, destruction and misery on hundreds of innocent people.

A lot of people would exact more punishment on people for lots of crimes, not just terrorism. It isn't up to the mob to decide though; as I said, we are a civilised people where the rule of the mob does not make the law.

I know, I'm just finding it hard to drum up any sympathy for him. :p

Morally you are quite right. But i cant help but think that it is improving the prospect of prison as a deterrent to crime after it has been tainted as a cushy, easy place to go.

To be fair, this is England, not some dodgy American prison and stuff like this shouldn't be happening (even though it's deserved)

if you ask me it's about time our prisons became a place to be feared and not some holiday camp for criminals who didn't get away with commiting their crime.

Yea thats right, we dont want Shariah law in Britain, we have the good ol' British legal system.

Great, lets castigate those in countries where people get stoned to death, and where beatings and rapings happen.

but as soon as one of our inmates cops a pasting from some fellows, "its fine, its fine, do you not hate them enough?" id like to se

Yep. this country is going down the pan.

"Terrorist gets attacked", hmm, they could have diced the guy with a chainsaw and i still wouldn't feel any sympathy tbh.

I hate terrorists as much as the majority of Brits, but burning him with pork fat? That's taking it too far, he's already in for a minimum of 40 years iirc. We are civilised, and things like that shouldn't be allowed to happen under our noses in government prisons. Thankfully you are not in charge.

For those who've been caught, and sentanced guilty- being hung, drawn and quarted is too good for them.

It's not going to put others off. Try and blow people up, we'll put the fear of god into them. That's only what scares em.

Fight fire with fire, and not with a eye dropper.

the death penalty needs to be brought back in Make the punishments so severve that terrorists/rapists etc etc will think again before striking. these people who abduct children and rape and murder them, like the above poster said should be hung drawn and quartered.

He deserves his balls flushing down the toilet. If i was in that prison with him, like most other britains would have slipped in a punch myself.
