Yes but you are forced to pay the bbc, they have a huge budget and are not accountable .

The bbc does a lot of very good things but it needs to be broken up to allow closer accountability.
 
The BBC don't care, the only thing that would affect them is having their ridiculous licence fee taken away.

Nothing else useful to add apart from I used to buy some "magic flowers" off his son back in uni 15 or so years back. Apparently he ran the slopes too.

I did have time for Diana though but lost interest in the royal family after she ̶g̶o̶t̶ ̶m̶u̶r̶d̶e̶r̶e̶d̶ died.

The press are vultures, picking up the scraps ever since the death.
 
Twitter is responding as I expected. The people who were so quick to condemn dodgy stuff by the Murdoch press are insisting Bashir must be forgiven and the whole thing quietly ignored. Shocking hypocrisy.

Bashir committed crimes, he should be charged.

Is it shocking? He isn't the right demographic for these people to get annoyed about.

If you fit the right profile and tick the right boxes you will get endless leeway from certain people because you have been oppressed or it wasn't your fault or it is a witch hunt etc etc.

Twitter is echo chamber where the only time people dip outside their normal sphere is to pile on to someone who they feel has committed a slight against their values. Then all their mates join in and reassure them that their bat **** crazy, over the top reaction is valid and proportional.

All throughout Brexit they have shown more loyalty to the EU than to the UK, the government should scrap the TV license and let them get all of their funding from the EU put an end to the pretence of them being impartial.
