Don't go thinking it's an RPG. It isn't. There's not really any inventory beyond the two weapons and special attack power you've currently got selected. Yes you can upgrade stuff, but it's no more complex than a shoot-em-up in that regard really, and beyond health and xp bars, there's nothing stats wise.I found Titan Quest and Torchlight exceedingly boring, I'm guessing this won't be for me either?
I heard about this on the Gamers With Jobs podcast, and was intrigued (especially by some of the music they played). The demo is very impressive in a quirky kind of way. The narration really does add something unusual to the gaming mix.
But I think this is another title to add to my bargain hunting list. I'm sure I'll play it for a few hours, then -- like with so many other similar indie games -- never quite bother to get back to it. So I want to pay half price for the half a game I'll probably play.![]()
Piano, you'll smash most of the challenges once you get full upgrades. Regarding the Fang Repeater, I think I opted for increased clip, faster reload and homing bolts and it made the challenge trivial.
I opt for the Brushers Pike (insane melee damage) and Musket (aoe knockback) at the moment. The Revolver is pretty crazy when fully upgraded also.
