^^^^ is correct

I'm guessing most northerners are just ignorant or deliberately want to sound thick. But if you don't want to sound like you sit at home on week days watching trisha & jeremy kyle then 'Bahth' is correct.

As an Australian, do I count as a Southerner?

Bath. Kind of.

This thread could go on for eternity.

Northern Monkeys will all say bAth, clAss, grAss, glAss

Plucky southern tommies will all say bAHth, clAHss, grAHss, glAHss.

As to who is correct, well, we've got the capital and the Queen, so those of you in uncivilised lands are wrong. Get back down the mines and learn to talk proper like w0t we do! ;)

What about us Midlands people eh? We're the best.

Same goes for glass, grass, father, class etc etc etc

Father is an odd one.

I'd pronounce those glass, grass, faRther and class.

edit, although saying that it's not uncommon to hear father pronounced favver around these parts:p
