Mapei mapesil has been good in my bathroom for 3yrs. Only a bit in the corner.

Neat bleach rubbed in once a month at most - won't matter how you treat the sealant the rest of the time as the mild simply won't come back. Takes 5 mins to apply + a hour leaving alone + 2 mins to rinse away.

Another user of this - it's great stuff and works on most moulds that crop up in the house.

Looks like the silicon hasn't been applied very well to be honest and as someone mentioned above dont lick your finger when applying it. The biggest issue will probably be water sitting on top of the silicon though as the majority of people are saying.

Mould spray, people sure like to get ripped off. Just use bleach, these sprays are just watered down bleach.

Forever white is a good silicone.

Cillit bang black (spelling..) is great at cleaning up tough stains, has a lot of bleach in it.

Have a search - I started a similar thread. There are two good product suggestions, and some tips on application (removing all traces of mold, not using a licked finger to spread silicone, and not using tape to define edge as it usually creates a ridge that harbors growth).

Not always. I tried bleach but made little difference. The product above did.

Get toilet paper, make a roll with it, impregnate it with bleach and leave it on top of the silicon for several hours, after that the mold will go away easily.

Just make your own. Water, bleach and caustic soda. I have never known bleach alone not to work though just takes longer, spray it on and leave it until it dries. For the same £5 you would have enough to make a many gallons of the stuff.

This and this, Cillit bang (the white one) is awesome at keeping mould at bay.
It may take a few attempts to get it gone but it will go, saves redoing the silicone.
