Bathurst Tonight!!!!

Great finish, so many hard luck stories in there.

I bailed at 3:30 during the red flag, got a few hours sleep before the dog wanted walking at 6:30. Just finished catching up after a quick break to watch the f1 (had to watch that live as I was already recording too many other races!).

Btcc next, that's got a fair bit to live up to....

Got the weather for it at the weekend.

Spent all day today (Monday) having on and off thunderstorms and power outages in town!

Red bull aren't too happy about how it turned out!

Too add: I was wishing the Volvo to a fairy tale victory....Anyone else notice how little the commentators mentioned the "V" word/brand all the while it was leading.

Gutted for him and the team

Finished watching this tonight, had recorded the BT feed which cut off with 20 laps to go.

I lasted until about lap 42 before falling asleep, woke up in the morning, and had the result spoiled by my mother! (Same name as winner, not the aussie sounding one) There was then a tirade of swearing followed by much sulking for the rest of the day, had been looking forward to this for months.

Great race, devastated for Scotty McLaughlin tagging the wall so late (old school Volvo BTCC fan migrated support to V8s) and to Van Gisbergen. Shame to see Winterbottom not able to get some points back on Whincup, rest of the season is pretty much a formality for him now. Shame so many safety cars, which as they say breed more, but it makes for some absolutely fantastic racing.

This is probably the motorsport event I want to get to the most, but looks as though I may have missed the Ford vs Holden hatred years if Ford pull out at end of the year.
