There seems to be a bit of a fuss about this game regarding magazines and reviews. According to some people the producers approached the magazines to say to them
"If you give our game above 90% then you can print the review earlier..oh and you need to put our game on the front page....If you don't..well then you can't print anything as we have a review embargo"
I'll try dig up where I read this to offer more information.
Will opt for a demo first, if available, before I make a decision though it does have my interest. If a game like this was done in a similar style to Max Payne then it could be very good and just up my street.

The same thing supposedly happened with Tomb Raider: Underworld. Magazine writers weren't allowed to publish scores below 90% until the weekend was over. Made me happy to see it crash and burn to be honest.
On topic: I'm undecided whether to pre-purchase this. I really like the sound of that batarang, but I'd pretty pretty ****ed if the game turned out bad.
