Batman Arkham City - Thread

This is definitely a day one purchase for me. I loved Arkham Asylum but i didn't actually get round to finishing it. Did anyone else find it a little bit repetetive towards the end?

I might play through Arkham Asylum again before getting this, picked it up in Steam christmas sale for pennies

Saw someone mention this in another thread.. thought I'd post it for all to see..

Can't wait for this game :)

Dam that looks good. I had remind myself that its not real life at points. I know the game wont look like this but its still impressive.

Very much looking forward to this. About 3 hours into Arkham Asylum and liking it. The combat feels spot on, very fluid and satisfying.

Looks more and more awesome the more I see of it!

If they get this right, as they did with the last one, it's certainly going to be my game of the year.

Was that live action or CGI? i can't even tell anymore.

The bit with the man being tortured in the chair defiintely looked like live action.

Anyway, looks awesome. I wish they could license Hans Zimmers music (for the films) for this game.

Is physx going to make a major difference? I have two spare 9800GTX+ cards but fitting one for physx means I would need to get a new case. Batman AA was fine for me without physx maxed out, hit my vsync, looked wonderful.

I managed to find some physx on/off comparison videos of Batman AA, all it does is make some floor tiles breakable and adds some other non-noticeable quirks like paper on the floor moves and steam coming out of pipes. Seems to be more of a marketing gimmick than anything else.

Arkhamcity.co.uk has details from the October issue of PC Gamer on the Windows edition of Batman: Arkham City, Rocksteady's upcoming stealth/action sequel. They talk of 3D and PhysX support, and quote the article comparing the PC version to its console counterparts: "Even ignoring the absence of [these PC exclusives] (such as tessellation, fog, and more loose trash in the streets)
