Batman Arkham City - Thread

What game engine is used to create the batman games.

The CGI trailer seems to surpass both crysis and bf3 graphics wise.

I believe it is the Unreal 3 engine.

This comes out the week before bf3, so perfect timing

Blame Rocksteady they decided to encrypt the savegame to stop achievement hacking but you can still copy them anyway:

There's been no official word on Steamworks so at this point one has to assume you will download the files from GMG themselves. You won't be able to enter a key into Steam.

OK. Thanks. I will hold fire for the moment until Steamworks is confirmed. By then I'll probably order it from Steam anyway. The GMG discount code expires next week.

Warner’s confirmed to VG247 that Batman: Arkham City for PC will still release under the Games for Windows Live banner.

It comes as it was reported yesterday that the Rocksteady actioner would not release as a GFWL title, according to retailer Green Man Gaming.

Except it is launching as a Live-enabled title, with a Warner rep telling us that “Arkham City is indeed a G4WL [sic] title.”
