Batman Arkham HD collection leaked ahead of its official announcement

Batman fans rejoice! A leaked photo of an HD collection of the first two Arkham games, Batman Arkham Asylum, and Batman Arkham City have been leaked by a GameStop employee.

The photo that you can see above shows off that that the official announcement via pre-order bonuses was coming tomorrow, April 19. The HD pack will come with the two Rocksteady developed games, upgraded visuals for the PS4 & Xbox One and all of the previously released DLC.

However, the HD collection won't be including Arkham Origins as it was developed by WB Montreal instead of Rocksteady. We also get to see that the game will be released on June 10.

Nice. Another one to add to the collection. Unfortunately, I doubt it will have the nVidia PhysX stuff in what with the PS4 running AMD tech.

I never got round to playing any of these on the 360 so when it gets cheap enough I'll take a play.

I have both of them on my PS3 I got free with PS+ Utterly brilliant games but I don't know if I would buy them again, but 1080p@60fps(I assume) sounds good, especially with the fighting mechanic.

The first one was my favourite, the others just seemed bigger but less fun. Doubt I'd play it again now though as there's just so many good new games out or coming out.

Speak of the devil, I've been playing Arkham Asylum the past week and just yesterday I finished the story getting every single collectible. I'll move onto Arkham Origins (mainly just for the story) soon since I've already done Arkhams Cit, but those games were good.

Problem with this 'HD' collection is that there's not much to update the games on. Sure, maybe the console versions might now get 'PC level' graphics (or just 1080p60) in the earlier games that released on last-gen, but what could they really add besides including all the DLC?

Most of all, while the pricing would seem great (3 games for the price of 1), these games are old enough such that one can buy the original versions for probably cheaper than this collection. Heck, on a Steam sale, one can get all of this already for a pretty good price. Still, this will be good for whoever hasn't played any of these games yet and doesn't own a last gen console/PC to play the existing versions on.

Edit: As a completionist, the first game appealed to me the most so far. I never managed to 100% the collectibles in Arkham City.

First played Arkham Asylum about a year and a half ago, really enjoyed it. Started playing Arkham City soon after it but couldn't really get into it as much. Might be temped by the prospect of having another go though.

Arkham City does get better after a few hours. It throws too much stuff at you in the beginning and you do feel a bit overwhelmed. Or at least I did.

I have them both on PC, but never had a PS3, so never played on consoles. I might just have to get this.

Yeah that was pretty-much it for me too, suddenly a whole lot of stuff happening, things to collect etc when I just wanted it to tell me what to do for a bit until I found my feet.

same, loved the first but I never finished the others as they relied too much on running/gliding from A-B and as close as I got to finishing Arkham Knight I just hated the batmobile.

I hope they improve the combat in Asylum.
It has the best storyline but the actual gameplay does get better with each successive game

How come this is available to pre-order from 19th April when there has been zero announcements from anyone? Without these leaks no-one would even know about the game? :confused:
