Battalion 1944 (ww2 game )

not sure if trolling...but hes a big streamer. big streamers can bring big audiences. they are also normally paid to stream new games for periods of time often at launch. the big streamers get mega money for this. ninja for eg for apex got 1 million. battalion is made by a small team of indie devs. so for shroud to genuinely be interested and play it without pay is really good news. it will bring people to the game.

Early access was good but had flaws and the game died quick. I'm glad to see it coming back though as its a genuine pure skill based fps.

player base was never meant to be massive its more niche than say battlefield. no perks no hand holding. i compare the player base similar to something like squad. doesnt mean its a bad game and as long as plenty to play with its fine. numbers are going up and the game is fun to play.

i think the only problem it has is many of the people playing are of a higher skill ceiling compared to most other fps titles. so new players to this oldskool style of game may get a whooping.

Still nothing from the devs telling me this has been released despite backing it a few years ago.

But Shroud(?) is playing it so all good.

the first early access week wasnt well executed but...they learned from it moved on and got it right. games really good now dont let that first week put you off playing what is a great game now.

Unfair beating?

It was 100% justified.

Really? In its early stages it was getting negative reviews because the server was getting hammed because the devs even said they didn't expect the amount of traffic it got.

People actually refunded the game because of this. Even massive triple A titles have server issues on release.

The game was in early development sure it's not going to be perfect but at least give it feedback constructively instead just calling it a dead game.

The Devs made everyone think it was going to be a different game to what it was...a retake on a mod a theme only a few played originally compared to the base game we thought it was going to be based upon. There was no mention of it at all. It only transpired on early release day/week. We all thought we were getting classic COD style, that's what was sold. Not the pro scene crap we got. The servers still weren't great after the original hammering they got the following day either.
Classic bait and switch. No one in community I was involved in even contemplated ditching it because of the servers on release.
Deserves to fail for their deception.

Pretty much this, the majority of COD players didn't play pro mod so it was massively deceptive, 5v5 S&D was a niche for COD and not what the majority enjoyed on 64 player TDM/CTF servers

arcade mode is in the game. which is tdm , ctf , demolition. free for all . rifles only. custom servers. its not just competitive.

Still didn't stop people jumping around corners and instakilling. The whole game was based around a style of play and movement, it's not about the game modes. It sucks.
