*** Battlefield 1 ***

Pretty impressed thus far, the menus in game seem to lag pretty badly if you try and change anything like controls whilst in an actual game, but meh it's no big issue.
 
Really impressed with this the sniping feels easy though im pretty sure more of challenge in older games maybe im just used to it more.

You know your in a game of battlefield when you go to shoot a person and the whole building blows up :D

Edit: where are the medics I have not had one revive lol

I don't think they know you want reviving unless you request a revive.

But, then people would have to actually play as a medic, most of the people on my squads have been snipers.
 
enjoying it so far but not as much as i thought i would ,think its probably the map that I'm not a huge fan of, and the graphics are pretty poor (xbox one) .
 
Fair enough, makes sense!

People need to get into the habit of 'spotting' an enemy. Everyone used to do it on BF4 but nobody seems to do it on this.
 
I've only played two games so far and the old style weapons make some difference to how you need to play.

Found myself firing off a few shots from my rifle then having to switch to the pistol as the enemy rushes in, to going sod this and running at them to club them with a spade.

You really need to make your shots count in this game.
 
Played a few rounds of this tonight. The game seems much smoother and less chaotic when playing rush, which I guess is to be expected.

I am terrible at online shooters with a controller, I know it's not all about K/D ratio, but I went 9-19 in my first rush round, then managed 24-24 in the second. I'll be trying the beta on my gaming laptop as well to see how I get on with that, but I'd prefer it on console just because I prefer gaming on it these days.

I don't feel like that is a great map for conquest, not enjoying it. For rush however, it's pretty much perfect. Really hope they're all like this because BF4 was terrible for that game mode.

I love how the grenades are thrown instantly as well. Means I can throw one towards a group and start shooting in a split second, so pretty much doubles my chances.

Edit: just blew up 7 out of 10 objectives in rush, two games in a row. Absolute don. :p

That might have something to do with the fact that they are made by the same company and have the same engine at their roots :p


I haven't had a go yet, hopefully tomorrow.
 
Graphics on the PS4 are really impressive, smooth even in the sand storms.

I prefer Rush than conquest on this map but not played either of them enough to know it well.

I wrote the same in the PC section as tried the PC version, I got confused, I half expected a storm trooper to appear, or a tie fighter to swoop down.

Very poor game IMO. Which is a huge shame, setting has potential. I did mention in the PC thread that maybe its the map they chose to open beta test with?
